In Pakistan, political leaders give statements according to their political benefit rather than collective or Country’s benefit. These statements are used against the country. The most famous example is Kalbushan Yadav case in which one of Nawaz Shareef’s (ex-prime minister) statements is used in the International Court of Justice against Pakistan.

In the same way, politico-religious leader Maulana Fazal Ur Rehman, claimed that he had called off his Sit-In after receiving an assurance that Prime Minister Imran Khan will resign in 2020 and elections will be held after three months of IK’s resignation. Maulana Fazal ur Rehman proved himself as one of the bitter foes of IK’s government. He has staged a 13-day long protest in Islamabad. His prime objective was to shed the present government. He has ended his Dharna after negotiation of Rehbar Committee of opposition and Government.

Recently, the prime minister said that the Sit-In of Maulana Fazal Ur Rehman confessed that the Sit-In was conspiring to topple PTI government. He should tell media and public that who has given him this assurance. A treason case should be filed against him under article 6 of the constitution. Pakistan’s constitution concludes the capital punishment of treason.

Concluding more! Now a day every statement is recorded and broadcasted to the world. Hence, any statement from political leaders has become more sensitive and worth. Foes of the country use this statement as proof. No case has been filed against anyone for speaking against the state institutions. This is the main reason that many of the statesmen like Nawaz Shareef, Altaf Hussain, and other leaders used to articulate against state institutions like the army and other security agencies. In the recent Sit-In, Maulana Fazal Ur Rehman used the same language and spoke against the institutions during his the United States and Iran tours.
